You may have heard of him. An amazing career at the University of North Carolina was only the beginning of what Michael Jordan would accomplish. A winner of six NBA Championship rings, Jordan was also a five-time MVP, a ten-time member of the All-NBA First Team, the winner of nine All-Defensive First Team awards, as well as being named ESPN’s male athlete of the century at the 2000 ESPY Awards.

Like his teammate Scottie Pippen, Jordan was named to the NBA 50th Anniversary All-Time Team and was a member of two Olympic gold medal teams. He was a member of the coveted “Dream Team,” but many forget the medal he won in 1984 during the Los Angeles Olympics games. In fact, he joins Patrick Ewing and Chris Mullin as the only Americans to win gold medals as collegiate athletes as well as athletes on the professional level.

Since June of 2006, Jordan has been a part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats franchise, where he possesses the title of Managing Member of Basketball Operations. He holds a basketball camp every summer and continues to be one of the most marketable athletes to ever grace professional sports.
