NBA Draft Player Profile - Jeff Green

Jeff Green

By Dennis Velasco, About.com

Born: August 28, 1986
High School: Northwestern
Hometown: Hyattsville, MD
College: Georgetown University
Position: Small Forward
Height: 6'8"
Weight: 225 lbs.
Class: Junior

Positives:

Green is Mr. Versatility as he is able to do everything well. He has a high basketball IQ and great approach to the game. Green is unselfish and find the open man, possessing great court vision and a good dribble. He can finish on the break and has a soft touch around the basket. Defensively, he has the will and physical tools to stick with perimeter players and the size to defend bigs down low.

Negatives:

Green will need to work on his perimeter game and while he can create for his teammates, he needs to work more on creating his own shot, which would make him a very dangerous player. He is sometimes too unselfish and doesn't attack as much as he should on offense. Green sometimes gambles too much, leading to turnovers and unnecessary fouls.

Overview:

Green will be a treat for his new teammates, not only because of his unselfishness, but because he's a hard worker and will lead by example with his hard work and constant effort.
